Augusta Ada King, the Countess of Lovelace (London, 1815 \u20131852) was a writer, mathematician, physicist and the first computer programmer. She collaborated on the design for Charles Babbage\u2019s Analytical Engine, which could solve differential equations and she wrote the first algorithm to be processed by a machine.
