Lucilio Vanini (Taurisano, 1585 \u2013 Tolouse, 1619)<\/p>\n
was an Italian philosopher who claimed that the Universe was governed by natural laws and that human beings were descended from monkeys. He was one of the many precursors to Darwin\u2019s theories since he stated that some animals could become different ones.
